Our Lady of Guadalupe Scarf | Catholic Veiling, Soft Polyester (72x32)
Our Lady of Guadalupe first introduced herself as the Mother of God and the mother of all humanity when she appeared on the hill of Tepeyac in Mexico in 1531. She is now often refrred to as "Our Lady of the Americas" as several Popes have referred to Mary as protectress of all the nations in the Americas.
Our exclusive pattern of Our Lady of Guadalupe in red, white, and blue gives honor to this title. The colors of the scarf also are in a sense, imploring to Our Lady for a renewal of pro-Christian, pro-family, and pro-life values in the United States of America.
Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of the most honored and well known titles of the Blessed Mother. Appearing to Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531, Mary spoke to Juan as he hurried along a path to Mass. Mary directed Juan to go to the local Bishop and ask for a chapel to be built in her honor. Beautiful roses were blooming on the path where Juan hurried along. Juan picked the roses for the Bishop and when they fell from his tilma as he presented them to the Bishop, the miraculous image of Mary (as represented with our scarf) appeared on his simple garment where the roses had been.
The scarves are handmade in India by a Christian family business. The scarf, like all my products, are sourced from small makers that I personally know. 100% polyester, soft and lightweight, yet when doubled up, the scarves are quite warm. Some wearers use the scarves as veils. Polyester is the fabric choice, as the fabric dyes through both sides. Cotton and linen can only print on one side.
Our scarves can be tied in many styles and are a wonderful, holy accent to your wardrobe. 72 x 32 inches.
