Our Lady of Cana
The Lord's first miracle took place at a wedding in Cana when His own mother instructed "Do whatever He tells you." When Mary speaks at this occasion, it is the fourth and final time her words are recorded in scripture, showing the significance of Mary's role in salvation history.
The Feast to Our Lady of Cana is January 6, and in not as well-known as many of the other Marian devotions.
Prayer to Our Lady of Cana
O Lady of Cana, at the wedding feast you saw they had no more wine, and you took this concern you saw to your beloved Son. Please pray with me as I bring to Jesus the concerns I have for the neighbors who are in need. I place before your Son the hungry, the sick, the homeless, the lonely old, and the lonely young, those who are out of work, suffering abuse, or dying. I especially wish to pray for….(here mention your prayer)….. May Jesus, who changed the water into wine, touch them and change their sadness into joy. May the love of your Son help them to always know that they are dearly loved by God. Amen.
This is a wonderful scarf for everyone, but a great engagement gift or gift for a bride or bridesmaids.
Each one of our scarves is adorned with a Miraculous Medal.
November 27, 1830, in a Paris, France chapel, Our Lady appeared and spoke to Catherine “Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck.” Our Lady was standing on a globe, from her outstretched hands dazzling rays of light radiated. The letter M surmounted by a cross with a bar at its base and below it, the Sacred Heart of Jesus crowned with thorns, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced with a sword was situated on what seemed to be the reverse side of the medal.
The medal was made in 1832 with the approval of the Catholic Church. It was quickly distributed throughout France. and blessings that Mary had promised flowed to all who wore the medal. It became referred to as "The Miraculous Medal" and is still one of the strongest devotions in the Catholic Church, just behind the rosary.
Fashion and Faith all in one! As people compliment your scarf you will be drawn to share the gift of the Catholic faith and Mary's love for all people. Mary is a sure path to her son.
