Our Lady of the Rosary Scarf | Catholic Miraculous Medal
The rosary is one of the most popular Catholic devotionals. The rosary appeals to many. It is simple and calls us to reflect on the life of Christ through praying the Creed, Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, and ending prayers. There are four mysteries of the rosary, an assigned day of the week is used to focus on particular mysteries as we pray as asked by Mary in Fatima in 1917.
Our Lady of the Rosary's Feast Day is October 7. In 1573 Saint Pius V established this feast. The purpose was to thank God for the victory of Christians over the Turks at Lepanto—a victory attributed to the praying of the rosary. The Feast was added to the universal Church calendar in 1716.
Honoring Mary under this title is officious and long standing in the Catholic faith. Honor Mary and be reminded to pray the rosary daily by wearing this style.
Each scarf is adorned with a Miraculous Medal, another popular Catholic devotional. Mary appeared in Paris in 1830 to St. Catherine Labore and instructed her to have the medal struck. At the time there was a pandemic in the world and as this devotional spread, many miracles were attributed to the prayers. This is why it became known as the Miraculous Medal.
